The Mother Goose Parade has marched through El Cajon nearly every November since 1947. Downtown, the Olaf Wieghorst Museum preserves the home and paintings of the Danish-born artist known for scenes of the American West, and the Knox House, built in 1876 as a small hotel, tells the early history of the valley.
